Prosecution’s case/defense response: Harris pulled alongside Kenneth Cherry’s car on the Las Vegas Strip and shot Cherry. This bullet killed Cherry and caused the car to smash into a taxi. The crash resulted in an explosion that killed the taxi driver, Michael Boldon, and his passenger, Sandra Sutton-Wasmund. The passenger in Cherry’s car suffered a minor gunshot wound. The defense lawyer claims that Harris was acting in self-defense and therefore should receive a lesser sentence than the death penalty.
