Date of crime: Between April and May 2013
Prosecution’s case/defense response: Flack killed Kaylie Bailey, 21 years old, and her 18-month-old daughter. Flack also killed two men, Andrew Stout and Steven White. The trial began without the bodies, but then three bodies were found at a Ottawa home and the fourth body was found a few days after in a creek. Flack was found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to death for Bailey and her baby. He was also found guilty of second-degree murder for the two men and found guilty of criminal possession of a firearm. The defense counsel brought up mitigating factors such as his unstable upbringing and mental health problems. The motive behind the killings is unknown.
